Computational Semiotics in Healthcare: This is a research project that studying the aplication of computational semiotics in making decision system in healthcare area. The semiotic already used by physician during the semiology is integrated to the intelligent computational systems providing efficient medical support tools.
Automatic Computational Semiosis: in order to create more flexible and appropriate decision support systems, the Peircean theory of semiosis process, i.e. the process of meaning production, was incorporate in a computational system. The automatic meaning production and evaluation aims to tackle the problem of context-dependent reasoning and improve adaptative behavior of intelligent systems.
